Stainless Steel Flanges

Corrosion-resistant flanges for chemical, food, and marine applications.

Stainless steel flanges are specified when corrosion resistance beyond what carbon steel provides is required. The austenitic grades F304/F304L and F316/F316L (per ASTM A182) are the most commonly used. F316/F316L contains molybdenum, which provides better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments compared to F304/F304L.

The low-carbon "L" grades (F304L, F316L) are preferred for welded construction because they resist sensitization, a phenomenon where chromium carbides precipitate at grain boundaries during welding and create zones susceptible to intergranular corrosion. For applications requiring both high strength and corrosion resistance, duplex stainless steel (A182 F51/2205) and super duplex (F53/2507) flanges are available.

Flanges.IO stocks stainless steel flanges in all standard types and sizes, from 1/2" through 24" in classes 150 through 2500. We serve the chemical processing, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, pulp and paper, and offshore industries. All stainless flanges ship with certified mill test reports.
