ANSI B16.47 Series B Flanges

ASME B16.47 Series B flanges derive from API 605 and provide a lighter, more economical alternative to Series A for large-diameter piping. With fewer bolts and reduced flange thickness compared to Series A, these flanges lower material costs and simplify installation while still meeting the same pressure-temperature ratings. Series B is commonly chosen for less critical services and where weight reduction is beneficial.
